And in the month of August, we saw ourselves dining at one of the well known establishments in North Goa which arguably boasts food that represents 450 years of Konkan- Portuguese culinary fusion, served in exciting contemporary formats. Miguel’s is a cocktail and petiscos bar located in Bento Miguel, a heritage building in the heart of Fontainhas, Panjim. Drawing upon the rich history and culture of this celebrated neighbourhood, Miguels’s is an art-deco bar that offers the flawless balance of unforgettable innovation while not steering away from the classics to create the ultimate slurping dining experience for any visitor that happens to stumble upon the place.
Miguel’s is a dream project of Dhruv and Ankush, the founders at East Slope Hospitality, who met at East Slope, the Sussex University bar, around 2 decades ago. Miguel’s beautifully crafted cocktails and drinks hark back to the classic drinks of the 1920s and ‘30s. We recommend juts diving into any of the cocktails from their menu for a fresh and new experience. Miguel’s has a ‘nose to tail’ approach towards the produce they use which allows them to make ethical and sustainable use of the whole animal. You can also have the experience of seeing your meal cooked right in from of your eyes with their open kitchen.
