Cajy Bar was started by Cajetan Fernandes in the 1970s, and the business has been passed down over generations. Today, Cajetan’s grandson, Eligio Fernandes runs Cajy Bar along with his mom, Philomena Fernandes and sister, Evelyn Fernandes. This keeps it still as a family run business. This strong team of 3 have worked hard to give Cajy Bar a chill and ‘susegad’ kind of vibe with its rustic Goan bar ambience and a series of DIY sit-outs, making it a fun hotspot for not only the locals but tourists as well.

For decades, Cajy Bar has had its legacy as a local bar where anybody could visit to grab a quick drink of Feni along with a quick bite of yummy Goan food. And it continues to remain that way.
